Dr. Simona Mihai-Yiannaki, MBA is an Associate Professor in Finance and Vice-Dean of the Business School at European University Cyprus, a research associate at the Foundation for European, Social and Political Studies, an international consultant in banking and finance. She has used entrepreneurial strategies ever since being a banker before graduating from MBA with distinction in Entrepreneurship in Oxford in 2005 and then has put them in practice as a CFO and later on as a professor.
This inspiration lies with her networking skills, with her awareness of the importance of innovation in business in general and in sustainable banking, finance and investments in particular. Results are seen also in her international publications, obtained funded research and international recognition.
She was awarded the EMBRI Best Contributor award in 2009, Best EMRBI Conference Reviewer in 2013, was a Fulbright finalist and a coordinator and member of several international projects such as: Erasmus+ projects: SCIENT.eu, ICT ENTREPRENEUR, GETUP, SHADOWS, ERASMUSIP, Grundvig, IPE, etc.
She has been a member of the CISI professional qualification since 2016 and has performed projects evaluations for: the World Bank HERIC projects, SONATA projects under National Science Center of Poland, and the Ministry of Science, Technology& Space of Israel, she was an accepted applicant for the E.U. Commission under FINANCIAL SERVICES USER GROUP (FSUG) and performed other consultancy in the area of bank and SMEs risk management.
